The Autumn of North Country- Herbarium Specimen of Temperate Deciduous Forest Exhibition

In the north country, Canada, a flurry of colorful, cascading leaves is one of the most glorious sights of the fall, and also indicates the coming of winter. The seasonal change of plants is difficult to find in the south country, Taiwan. Only in the subalpine region, we can feel the autumn, when the mountain was colored by the maple forests with red leaves.
This exhibit presents the exchange specimens form the Canadian botanists. These specimens were collected and made during 1958-1965. The eight exhibited specimens include grey alder, American basswood, white birch, American hornbeam, black ash, and peachleaf willow.
